Program Format and Design

Program Content image The program is offered in a 16 month cohort format, over the course of four semesters (Fall, Spring, Summer, second Fall). Participants meet on the Coral Gables campus every other week, on Monday evenings and Saturdays. A lockstep program design with one course at a time allows to develop financial knowledge step-by-step, maximize learning outcomes, and accommodate the schedule of working professionals.

This cutting-edge program combines fundamental finance courses with state-of-the-art innovative modules in areas like Behavioral Finance/Psychology of Financial Markets, Wealth Management, FinTech, Private Equity/Alternative Investments, and Real Estate. Global aspects are emphasized throughout the program, and there is a common focus on relevant practical skills through the use of business case studies, the discussion of current business topics, and the interaction with Finance executives. A one-of-a-kind course "Nobel Prize Winning Ideas in Finance" explains how the most prominent concepts (like for example behavioral finance, option pricing, portfolio theory) have shaped and transformed the Finance industry.

Finance Leadership and Professional Development

A course on "High Performance Leadership" with a focus on the finance industry allows to develop managerial and leadership skills which are critical for today's finance professionals. Towards the end of the program students will apply the learned skills and acquired knowledge in practice through a company-sponsored capstone consulting project.

There will be ample opportunities for networking within the cohort, and also with high-level finance professionals from the Miami area.

The program also prepares students for the CFA exams and Bloomberg Certification.
