Dr. Marianna Makri
Dr. Marianna Makri is an Associate Professor of Management and Faculty Director for Entrepreneurship programs in the Department of Management at the School of Business. Growing up in a family business fueled her passion and curiosity about the complexities and dynamics of family firms and as such, one of her main streams of research focuses on this unique ownership form.
She has been on the faculty since 2003 and she is the author of over twenty book chapters, and journal articles on the topic of strategic decision making in family firms. She has worked as a data analyst for Critikon and has served on the advisory board of ChronicDB, a start-up company, as well as the academic advisory committee of the Council for Accountable Advertising. She currently serves as a Technical Expert for Eurostars, a program for the benefit of R&D performing Small and Medium Enterprises.
