Graduate Students

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email the CIBER office at ciber@bus.miami.edu.

Graduate students interested in experience abroad should take a look at the Global Business Consulting in International Opportunities to the left.

Born Global Best Project for Graduate Students (Back to Top)

UM CIBER co-sponsored an annual award to the "Born Global" startup project plan most likely to succeed. This was done jointly with UM's "Launch Pad," a Kauffman Foundation supported advisory center for new venture project plans from students from all disciplines. This award is aimed at increasing international content that most start-ups should have. In the first two years, UM CIBER will consider only born global projects from UM students, but in subsequent years CIBER will also consider projects from teams nationwide.

Additional information coming soon.

Foreign Culture Experiential Learning Programs (Back to Top)

Up to three travel support grants are awarded each year, primarily to advanced graduate students, to support experiential learning programs in regions critical to U.S. business. Top priority is given to cultural immersion and research programs in regions where Arabic, Hindi, Mandarin and Russian languages are spoken.

If interested in applying, please contact CIBER@bus.miami.edu.

IB Faculty-Student Mentorship (Back to Top)

This cross-disciplinary program stimulates collaborative research between faculty and graduate students. Two awards are granted each year with priority placed on research projects that focus on international services and those that will also result in grant opportunities from major foundations and other external sources.

If interested in applying, please contact CIBER@bus.miami.edu.

Masters in International Accounting Internship (Back to Top)

Students interested in international internships, primarily those in the international track of the School of Business Administration’s Accelerated Masters in Accounting program, can access the resources of the UM CIBER for help in securing rewarding internships overseas.
