Department of Economics
Our faculty specialize in a variety of fields, including applied microeconomics, econometrics, game theory, financial economics, political economy, environmental economics, macroeconomics and international economics. Their research is regularly presented at international conferences and published in leading scholarly journals.
Since 2010, publications include articles in the American Economic Review, Econometrica, Review of Economic Studies, Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Econometrics, American Political Science Review, Journal of the European Economic Association, European Economic Review, Economic Inquiry, Annals of Applied Probability, Economics of Education Review, Industrial and Labor Relations Review, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Journal of Environmental and Economic Management, Journal of Macroeconomics, Environmental and Resource Economics, Journal of Labor Economics, Journal of Human Resources, Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, and the Economic Journal, among other outlets.
This year, we welcome the newest members of our department. As of Fall 2013, Alex Horenstein has joined our department as an Assistant Professor. Also starting Spring 2014, Ayca Kaya will be joining our department as an Assistant Professor, and Salvador Ortigueira will be joining us as a Visiting Professor.
