
Admission Requirements
Incoming Freshmen
- Propective students apply to the accelerated program when they apply for admission to the University.
- SAT scores should exceed 1250; high school GPA should exceed 4.0.
- Students are required to have an overall and accounting GPA of 3.0 or higher after their junior year in college.
- Students will need to have completed 102 credit hours by the start of their senior year.
Current University of Miami Undergraduate Accounting Majors
- Students apply to the accelerated program by February 1 of their junior year. Applications will be available in the accounting office at the beginning of the spring semester.
- Admission to the program will be primarily based on SAT scores, GPA, and letters of recommendation. It is expected that the students admitted to the program will have SAT scores exceeding 1250 and GPAs exceeding 3.25, but students with these scores are not guaranteed admission. The decision will depend on the quality and size of the application pool.
- After admission, students must maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher and an accounting GPA of 3.0 or higher to remain eligible.
- Students will need to have completed 102 credit hours by the start of their senior year.
International Designation Requirements
Admission to this program is expected to be more competitive given the small number of international internships that will be available.
Incoming Freshman
Applicants must meet the freshman admission requiremens of the standard MAcc program, as well as:
- Have an SAT score of 1280 or higher.
- Have a weighted GPA of 4.25 (high school).
- Maintain an overall and accounting GPA of 3.00 and 3.25 or higher (respectively).
- Have demonstrated proficiency in a second language.
Current University of Miami Undergraduate Accounting Majors
Applicants must meet MAcc program admission requirements, as well as:
- Have an overall and accounting GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Have demonstrated proficiency in a second language.
- Course program to complete 102 hours by start of senior year.
