Master of Arts in Economics


Program Begins August

Applied economics is invaluable in the public and non-governmental agency sectors as well as in various business and finance sectors. Those with the skills to use sound economic analysis to guide decision making are in increasing demand.

The Master of Arts in Economics program provides students with the essential analytical tools and rigorous training they need to apply economic analysis to help both global corporations and government institutions achieve success.

The program introduces students to several applied areas of economics and provides the required problem-solving skills to analyze economic problems.

Program Objectives

The MA in Economics program is designed to provide students with the economic foundations and problem-solving skills for the analysis of business sectors, economic policies and the broader global economy. The program provides a thorough understanding of labor and product markets, the economic impact of key economic sectors such as energy, housing, technology and health care. The program also provides students with an analytical and economic skill set to do applied research in various areas of economics or to pursue a PhD degree in economics, business, or the social sciences.
