Ann Reifel was drawn to the University of Miami MBA program after working as a financial analyst in New York and then Miami. What she found was a rigorous, yet rewarding program.

"It's extremely demanding, but in a very good way.  I feel like I've learned more in my two years than in all of my other education put together," she says. "Because the school is small, the class sizes are small. One of my classes had 12 students, so there's a lot of personal attention, the faculty know my name and even know where my strengths are, so it's a very personalized environment."

Reifel, whose concentration was finance, looks forward to a career in foreign exchange and derivatives. UM's cross-disciplinary approach to business, she says, will serve her well.

"Before, I was very focused on the finance perspective and how financial analysts approach things.  Now, I can see that my actions will affect the marketing department for example. Now I can tie everything together."
