The column featured insight that was shared during a Marketing Science Institute (MSI) conference that was hosted by the School in June.

CNN – Lou Dobbs Tonight – August 31, 2009 - Steven Ullmann, director of the School's health sector management and policy programs, was featured in a continuing series on health care systems in countries other than the U.S. In this segment, Ullmann discussed the health care system in New Zealand explaining that there is a significant co-payment required for primary care which likely has patients thinking twice before visiting a doctor for less serious illnesses. Research by Patricia Abril, assistant professor of business law, was featured in an article in Spain’s second largest daily newspaper. Abril was quoted in the article about the study which found that although users of social networking sites such as Facebook, know the privacy risks of posting certain personal information, they do it anyway. WFOR-TV CBS4 (Miami) – August 24 - 27, 2009 – Steven Ullmann, director of the School's health sector management and policy programs, was prominently featured in a five-part series on the government’s efforts to reform health care. In part one of the series, Ullmann addressed the need for reform, telling viewers that “we mortgage our country’s future if we do not do health care reform.” In part two of the series, Ullmann helped clear up misconceptions about the proposals, telling viewers "Some of these issues out there do not exist. The death panels are not there. The concept of a government takeover is not there." In part four of the series Ullmann participated in a 6-minute live interview to further explain the proposals under consideration.
