Business Law Professor Recognized for Research on Privacy Issues
Patricia Sanchez Abril, associate professor of business law, received the Outstanding Distinguished Proceedings Paper Award at the 2014 Academy of Legal Studies in Business’ annual conference, which was held August 4 – 7 in Seattle, Washington.
Abril’s article, “Selling Privacy,” was selected as the top article from a pool of four Distinguished Proceedings presented during a special session at the conference.
Founded in 1924, the Academy of Legal Studies in Business (International) is an association of teachers and scholars in the fields of business law, legal environment, and law-related courses outside of professional law schools. The Academy publishes two top-tier journals: the American Business Law Journal (ABLJ) and the Journal of Legal Studies Education (JLSE).
