Management Professor Tapped as Editor at Leading Operations Management Journal
Haresh Gurnani, professor and Leslie O. Barnes Scholar of management, has been invited to serve as founding department editor for the Operations and Economics interface in Production and Operation Management for a three-year term.
The journal, ranked by the Financial Times as one of the top 45 academic journals, publishes scientific research into the problems, interest, and concerns of managers who manage product and process design, operations, and supply chains.
Papers published in the new Operations and Economics interface of the journal use economic modeling tools to study the interactions between cooperative or competitive firms and consumers. Topics include industrial organization theory, consumer behavior, and contract design.
