Two School of Business MBA students were honored by more than 200 members of the South Florida business community at the 11th Annual International Business Woman of the Year Awards, hosted by the Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT) South Florida chapter on November 15.
Anxshy Kurian and Sharayu Kakhotiya, MBA students at the School of Business, received a $2,000 scholarship raised through a silent auction held during the event, which helps fund scholarships for women pursuing degrees in international business.
The OWIT South Florida chapter is a networking and informational organization established in 1993 to promote international business and trade. The organization includes nearly 3,000 members worldwide.
Now in its 11th year, the International Business Woman of the Year (IBWOY) Awards has recognized women for furthering international trade through excellence and innovation, enhancing the status of women in the industry all over the world.
