Marketing Professor Inducted as Member of International Academy for Quality
A. “Parsu” Parasuraman, holder of the James W. McLamore Chair in Marketing, professor and department chair of marketing, has been inducted as an “Academician” member of the International Academy for Quality (IAQ).
The IAQ is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that is administered by a collegial assembly of individuals who have been elected by their peers from among the most respected, active and experienced protagonists of quality in the world.
The Academy identifies and recruits both thought leaders and exceptional practitioners to receive invitations for membership. The selection is based on excellence, expertise in the field, national, company & /or professional leadership, a track record of accomplishments, academic and/or applications, excellent communications (oral, written, languages), and commitment.
“I congratulate you on your outstanding career and I am certain that your knowledge, leadership experience, and accomplishments will make a positive, significant contribution to our ability to achieve the Academy’s goals on behalf of the entire global quality community,” wrote Mary Jean Ryan, chair of the IAQ in a letter notifying Parasuraman of the honor.
