Faculty Member Joins Academy of Management Review’s Editorial Board

Cecily Cooper, assistant professor of management, has been selected to serve on the editorial review board of Academy of Management Review (AMR), one of the world’s leading management journals. Cooper’s term runs through July 2011, during which time she will review seven to nine manuscripts per year. She joined the School of Business in 2003 from Southern Methodist University, where she was a visiting assistant professor. Her research interests are trust repair, fairness, interpersonal relationships and leadership.Cooper was asked to serve on the board because of her scholarship record and past contribution of consistently high-quality reviews to AMR, whose mission is to publish new theoretical insights that advance the understanding of management and organizations.
She has won a number of academic paper awards including the International Association of Conflict Management’s 2006 Outstanding Article Award for Best Published Paper of 2004, and a 2005 Best Paper Award (Emperical) from the Division of the Academy of Management.
