The MBA program at the School of Business has been recognized as one of 21 honorees in Business Leader magazine’s 2012 “Business Leader of the Year Awards.” The award was accepted by Anuj Mehrotra, vice dean for faculty affairs and graduate business programs, during an awards ceremony May 22.
The magazine has presented the “Business Leader of the Year Awards” annually for the last half-decade. The purpose of the awards is to honor and recognize the top organizations in specific business categories in their market. The award is exclusive because there is only one winner per industry category. The winning organization in each category is recognized as the best in its industry based on reader nominations and research by the magazine.
Among the other 2012 honorees was the University of Miami Hospital. The hospital’s CEO, Daniel Snyder, was on hand to accept his organization’s award. Also during the ceremony, Cesar Alvarez, the executive chairman of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, was honored with Business Leader’s “Legend Award.”
