The School of Business honored its top graduating seniors at the 2010 Undergraduate Business Programs Awards Ceremony May 12. The event was held two days before spring commencement to celebrate the accomplishments of students as they prepared for life after college.

There were 41 undergraduate and 20 graduate students inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma during the ceremony. The honor is bestowed upon students who are recognized as the very best in their class. The Dean's Award in Honor of Beatrice Gitlow, which recognizes the senior with highest academic honors, went to Michelle D. Katz. The other top senior honor, the Beta Gamma Sigma Leadership Award, was presented to Arthur Pearsall.

Five seniors were honored for the research they conducted over the last year. They included:

Seth R. Levy, Honorable Distinction for Research

Several awards were presented to honor undergraduates for their service to the School. James Tyler Redd and Charles J. Walker were honored with Excellence in Service Awards and Patrick McIlveen received the Outstanding Teaching Assistant of the Year Award. Teaching assistants (T.A.s) are assigned to lead teams of 10 freshmen in their first year at the School.
