The University of Miami School of Business is a comprehensive business school, offering undergraduate business, full-time MBA, Executive MBA, MS, PhD and non-degree executive education programs. One of 12 colleges and schools at the University of Miami, the School is located in a major hub of international trade and commerce and acclaimed for the global orientation and diversity of its faculty, students and curriculum. The School delivers its programs at its main campus in Coral Gables as well as at locations across Florida and abroad.

Freshmen Gain Global Mindset by Analyzing Business Problems in Foreign Countries

From women in the workplace in India to corruption in Turkey, Russia, China, Brazil, Colombia, and South Africa, School of Business freshmen tackled key business issues as part of the FIRST Step program in order to gain a new global perspective.


Undergraduates in the Big Apple for Up-Close Look at the World of Finance

A group of 16 undergraduate business students had the opportunity to learn about the world of finance first-hand in New York City in October. The trip, made possible through the Bermont-Carlin Scholars Program, included visits to the JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, Barclays, UBS, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America Merrill and a number of other firms.


School of Business Alumnus Appointed as Colombia’s Minister of Agriculture

Ruben Dario Lizarralde (MSPM ’99) was named Colombia’s minister of agriculture by President Juan Manuel Santos on September 11.


School Welcomes New Faculty Members

The School of Business is welcoming three new faculty members this fall. Derick Davis has joined the School as an assistant professor of marketing, Stefanos Delikouras is an assistant professor of finance, and Alex Horenstein is an assistant professor of economics.


School to Launch Innovative “Miami Executive MBA for the Americas” Program

The School plans to launch an innovative weekend Executive MBA program that breaks new ground in MBA education and will uniquely focus on four key management themes – those of importance to individuals and organizations operating in or connecting with high-growth markets, particularly those of the Americas.
