This Web site, compiled by the British Broadcasting Corporation, is a good resource on news and advertising media, as well as containing political commentary and links to current events. 


CIA Chiefs of State and Cabinet Members of Foreign Governments
The Central Intelligence Agency publishes and updates this online directory weekly. The directory is intended to be used primarily as a reference aid and includes as many governments of the world as is considered practical, some of them not officially recognized by the United States.

CIA World Factbook Country Guides
This Web site contains worldwide country profiles. The profiles provide information pertaining to population, age structure, immigration rate, literacy rate, ethnic groups, language, geography, people, government, economy,  communications, transportation, military, and transnational issues.

Country Commercial Guides
These are reports prepared annually by U.S. embassies which present a comprehensive look at countries' commercial environments. The topics include economy, politics, trade regulations, investment climate, and the marketing of US products and services.  To obtain a Country Commercial Guide, one must register with Export.gov.  Registration is free.
