Italy: National Institute of Statistics
Istat’s library is one of the richest with materials on statistics and economic subjects. It contains over 500,000 books and 2,800 periodicals. There is also a wealth of historical sources predating 1900.  Due to recent redesign, this site is currently only available in Italian.
