Management Professor to Receive Prestigious Career Award

Chester A. Schriesheim, a University Distinguished Professor of Management at the School of Business Administration, has been named the recipient of the 2017 Distinguished Career Award given by the Research Methods Division of the Academy of Management.

The award recognizes distinguished scholars who have made significant contributions to the advancement of research methodology.

Schriesheim, best known for his research in leadership and methodology, was recently recognized among the world's top 1 percent of industrial/organizational psychologists based on his scholarly impact.

He is also a fellow of the American Psychological Association, an honor given to less than 5 percent of the 78,000 members who have “shown evidence of unusual and outstanding contributions” to the field.
