To take up the challenges of the 21st century will require an education that promotes innovative thinking and generates multi-dimensional problem-solving. The School of Business Administration's (SBA) front-loaded curriculum enables our students to develop these skills and engage with today's business world from the first day of class.
FIRST Step is a ground-breaking freshman course utilizing case-studies and multi-media lectures as a basis for teaching critical analysis in ethical business decision-making. The central component of FIRST Step is the "freshman team" who, together with an experienced business student mentor, collaborate to develop potential solutions to current business challenges faced by local non-profit organizations.
And this is just the "first step". Throughout the undergraduate years, UM SBA students will acquire skills in a variety of fields through curriculum choices from a vast array of majors and minors leading to exciting career options in industry or post graduate work in law, medicine, and politics...to name a few.
UM SBA students may declare majors from the following options:

UM SBA students may choose a second major in the School of Business Administration or from the College of Arts and Sciences. An Academic Advisor in Undergraduate Business Programs will assist each student in creating an academic plan to suit each of his/her aspirations.
Accredited by AACSB International, the 120-credit curriculum plan may lead to:
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
- Bachelor of Sciences in Business Administration (BSBA)
