The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) – Miami Chapter has awarded $1,000 scholarships to two School of Business accounting students. The scholarships, won by Brian Finkel and Mari Pape, are two of just four scholarships awarded each year to students pursuing degrees at colleges and universities in Miami-Dade and Broward each year.
A group of 16 undergraduate business students had the opportunity to learn about the world of finance first-hand in New York City in October. The trip, made possible through the Bermont-Carlin Scholars Program, included visits to the JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, Barclays, UBS, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America Merrill and a number of other firms.
