Stephanie Berman-Eisenberg is the President of Carrfour Supportive Housing, a not-for-profit organization established by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce in 1993 to develop supportive housing for homeless adults and children in Miami-Dade County. In addition to overseeing Carrfour’s current inventory of over 1,000 units of supportive housing, Berman-Eisenberg has led the effort to assemble over $100 million in funding commitments to develop an additional 337 units of housing over the next three years. Prior to becoming President in 2006, Berman-Eisenberg served as Carrfour’s Vice President of Resident and Property Services for four years.
Berman-Eisenberg has devoted her adult life to working on behalf of the homeless and underserved populations of the community. She previously worked for seven years at the Children’s Home Society, where she served as program director of Emergency Shelter Services. In this position, Berman-Eisenberg was responsible for all aspects of a comprehensive emergency shelter program serving 350 abused and neglected children per year.
Berman-Eisenberg has received the Up & Comers Award from the South Florida Business Journal and the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce R.E.AL Award. She serves on the City of Miami Beach Affordable Housing Committee and sits on the Board of the J.P. Morgan Chase Community Advisory Committee.
Berman-Eisenberg has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Brandeis University and a Master’s Degree in Administration, Planning and Social Policy from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education.
