Kimberly Boswell, a fifth year PhD. candidate, leverages an eclectic actuarial and geographical background to provide new scope in hedonics, nonparametric regression, and policy making in the cannabis industry.
A graduate of the University of the West Indies, Mona, Kimberly earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Sciences (Honours) before attaining a Masters in Pure Mathematics, with distinction. Her passion for math and teaching drove her pursuits, as she subsequently served as an Adjunct Tutor at UWI for five years while attaining actuarial accreditation to become an Associate of the Society of Actuaries. Her drive to share knowledge propelled her to create the Financial Mathematics program for the UWI.
Kimberly’s dissertation topic is “High Expectations: Commentary on Cannabis Policy and Placement” and she will be on the academic and corporate job market in Spring 2021.
