Biography

Changmeng (Melody) Xu is a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Organizational Behavior program in the Department of Management in Miami Herbert Business School, University of Miami. Changmeng completed her undergraduate degrees in Economics from both Dongbei University of Finance and Economics in Dalian, China, and University of Western Ontario in London, Canada. She earned her master's degree in Business Administration at University of Miami. Her research interest includes negative workplace behaviors (especially abusive supervision and deception), and attribution theories. She believes that solid measures are fundamental to the study of any substantive theories, and therefore is interested in measurement development and validation, both from traditional psychometric theories and item response theory.
