Candidacy for the Miami Herbert Business School MBA Program is based on an evaluation of academic and professional preparation as well as significant accomplishments and experiences. Professionally, the applicant should demonstrate an aptitude for career advancement and leadership. Regardless of the stage an applicant may be in, we measure career potential through increased workplace responsibility, demonstrated managerial skills, recommendations and assessment of the nomination. Motivation, intellectual curiosity, high ethical standards and perseverance are essential characteristics for success in the Professional MBA Program.
The Admissions Committee considers the "total" individual - men and women who show a pattern of achievement and high-level performance at every stage. The Admissions Index assesses each candidate on the following factors:
Admission to the Professional MBA Program does not guarantee that a seat is available. Once admitted, an applicant must submit a non-refundable $2,200 Enrollment Fee required by the Graduate Business Programs Office in order to reserve their seat within a cohort. Once a given cohort reaches capacity, the Admissions Committee compiles a waitlist of qualified candidates. Candidates are notified when their status changes.
