Join the local entrepreneur community for the University of Miami ‘Canes Idea Challenge!

This event will feature Eduardo Henrique, co-founder of Movile, as the keynote speaker, followed by a live-pitch competition and a reception.

Live-pitches are two minutes long, in front of our live audience and select judges. Participants of the ‘Canes Idea Challenge have qualified based on submitted concept papers. There will be three winners each from the undergraduate and graduate/alumni tracks, with the opportunity to win up to $6,000 in cash prizes.

The ‘Canes Idea Challenge is a stepping stone for all participants to qualify for the School’s Business Plan Competition held in April 2018. Both events are hosted by the School of Business Entrepreneurship Program.

This event is free and open to the public. Complimentary parking will be available at Pavia Garage located at 5615 Pavia Street, Coral Gables, FL 33146.

About Eduardo Henrique

Eduardo Henrique, Movile's co-founder and SVP of business development, is responsible for leading Movile's global expansion and communications, including PR and relations with strategic partners like Apple, Google, and Facebook. Eduardo has extensive experience in mobile platforms and was part of many innovation initiatives inside the company, transforming Movile from a feature phone product centric company to a platform that builds and invests in mobile marketplaces. Henrique moved to Silicon Valley in 2012 and had a key role in all smartphones initiatives and global expansion. Henrique attended the Stanford Executive program, is a graduate of the computer science program at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), received a degree in marketing at the School of Advertising and Marketing (ESPM-SP), and also completed graduate study in digital marketing at FECAP-SP. He was also one of the creators of PlayKids, the world’s top grossing educational entertainment platform for kids.
