The School's Business ForUM, organized annually by the Department of Accouning, brings together high profile business leaders, technical experts and leaders in public accounting and private industry to share perspectives on relevant issues impacting businesses today.

The conference provides an opportunity to reconnect and network with business colleagues along with School of Business alumni, faculty and friends. A&A CPE credit credit is also awarded. Speakers have included such industry leaders as Pat Barron (above), who served as chief operating officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.

Tax Reform, Cybersecurity and Regulation

The 2017 Business ForUM, “Post-Election Challenges and Opportunities," focused on corporate tax reform, cybersecurity risks and financial regulations, among other timely topics. Keynote speaker Marta Alfonso (BBA ’83, JD ’98), a litigation and valuation principal at MBAF Certified Public Accountants and Advisors (pictured right), challenged attendees to turn the confusion and ambiguity in today’s economy into an opportunity to grow.
