Visiting Assistant Professor, Finance


Professor Zhun Liu joins University of Miami as a visiting assistant professor in the finance department in the School of Business Administration. Prior to coming to Miami, he was a doctoral researcher at the University of Warwick. Zhun received his BSc in mathematics and BA in economics from Nanjing University and his MSc in economics and finance from the University of Warwick. He served as assistant president in a venture capital in China before he joined academia.

Zhun’s teaching interests include corporate risk management, capital structure, market efficiency and state pricing. He is awarded Associate Fellow of The Higher Education Academy in UK and is teaching Fundamentals of Finance (FIN302) in 2016.

His primary research interests are in the field of corporate finance theory. Specifically, he is interested in corporate risk management, dynamic corporate finance, capital structure, behavioral finance, contract theory and prospect theory.

Zhun resides in Dadeland. In his free time, he swims, practices scuba diving and travels to learn our diverse world.
