Daniel McGibney

Assistant Professor of Professional Practice, Management Science


Upon completion of his PhD in systems science and mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis, Daniel joined the mathematics department at the College of William and Mary as a visiting assistant professor for over two years, where he taught and studied analytics and machine learning courses. Outside of academia, Daniel worked as an operations research analyst at Scott Air Force Base (AFB) in Illinois for three years. There he worked as a Northrop Grumman contractor to the government and worked on several simulation and estimation projects where he served as both technical and team leader. In addition to his doctorate, Daniel has multiple Master’s degrees in engineering and mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
